He has become one of the most familiar and recognizable saints in France, heralded as the patron saint of the Third Republic. He is the patron saint of many communities and organizations across Europe.
Birthday of Emma González (1999): American activist and advocate for gun control. As a high school senior she survived the February 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL, and in response co-founded the gun-control advocacy group Never Again MSD.

13Feast of St. Frances Cabrini (1850-1917): Patron saint of immigrants, she was an Italian-American, Roman Catholic, religious sister (nun). She founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a religious institute that was a major support to her fellow Italian immigrants in the United States. Her congregation provided education, health care, and other services to the poor. Mother Cabrini became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1909.[2] On July 7, 1946, Mother Cabrini became the first U.S. citizen to be canonized a saint by the Catholic Church..
